This Independence Day, TRAX International encourages its employees, andAmericans everywhere, to celebrate the essence of this most American of holidays – celebrating the adoption of the Declaration of Independence on July 4th, 1776, and the subsequent founding of the United States of America.

Independence Day signing
In June 1776, representatives of the 13 colonies then fighting in the revolutionary struggle weighed a resolution that would declare their independence from Great Britain. On July 2nd, the Continental Congress voted in favor of independence, and two days later its delegates adopted the Declaration of Independence, a historic document drafted by Thomas Jefferson.

Fifty-six delegates to the Second Continental Congress in Philadelphia signed the United States Declaration of Independence – a statement announcing that the thirteen American colonies then at war with Great Britain were now independent states, and thus no longer a part of the British Empire.

From 1776 until present day, July 4th has been recognized as the birth of America’s independence, with traditional festivities including fireworks, parades and concerts to family vacations and barbecues. This Independence Day weekend, we join together to pause and reflect on our Nation’s birth, and the celebration of the 4th of July.
